Group Monument’s working terrain includes a lot of space for cabinet works: we take on work ranging from imposing steeples, delicate wooden sculptures, bell towers, wainscoting, shingles, ports, cupboards, doors and windows, right up to seating furniture, inlaid work and parquets.
All of these disciplines – restoration and new creations - require craftsmanship, technical skills and a love for and deeply rooted knowledge of the basic material: wood.
In order to restore wood perfectly basic techniques that have been used for centuries need to be thoroughly understood, classic shapes need to be respected and contemporary technical requirements and methods need to be accounted for. Group Monument willingly tackles the greatest challenges in this field. The result of this is that each item that leaves our studios carries with it the heart and soul of proud craftsmen who worked on it and who clearly had deep knowledge of their trade and a touch of class.
